Beef and Pork Seasoning

Can be used as a rub or right at the table with your fully cooked meal.

  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1  1/2 teaspoons seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse ground pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper

Southwest Rub

With the great taste of Chipotle this rub will please everyone.  Grind it fine for the best control of the heat.

  • 2 dried chipotle peppers=add 3 peppers for HOT
  • 3 tablespoons black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons dried cilantro leaves
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground dry orange peel

Tennessee Rib Rub

Change the heat to suit you by changing the amounts of cayenne.

  • 1/4 cup paprika
  • 2 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne

Cook up those ribs tonight!!

Kansas City Rub

When ribs are almost finished cooking add your favorite BBQ sauce and enjoy

  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup paprika
  • 1 tablespoon coarse black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne

Dry rubs can be stored in air tight container in  refrigerator for up to 6 month.

Administrators’ Favorite Rub

I have used this rub on pork, poultry, beef and burgers.  All the ingredients are important to its flavor but you decide quantities of each there is no wrong amounts, the amounts shown is the way I like it.  The first time I used it I really over did it.  Added to much and my ribs turned out too hot for my palate.  Just a lite sprinkle will provide a mild but full flavor.

  • 5 Tablespoons kosher salt
  • 6  Tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 7 tablespoons chili powder
  • 4 Tablespoons paprika
  • 3 Tablespoons granulated garlic
  • 2.5 Tablespoons coarse pepper
  • 1 Tablespoons onion powder
  • 1 Tablespoons lemon pepper
  • 1 tablespoons dried tarragon
  • 1 Tablespoon rosemary
  • 1 Tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 Tablespoon mustard powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • .5 teaspoon sage
