Plank Cooking At It’s Best
Outdoor cooking comes in many forms. BBQ of course, grilling, dutch oven cooking and one of my favorites Plank Cooking. I have found bunches of web sites, blogs and forums all over the net that include one or all of these forms of cooking, I am a participant in several and enjoy them a lot. My intention for this site is to be focused on Plank Cooking exclusively.
Plank Cooking Central offers a growing list of recipes and plank cooking tips as well as first to know sales from the Grilling Plank SuperStore. You will also find links to current and upcoming plank cooking recipe contests. There is much more to come-soon this site will offer a page to ask plank cooking questions and get answers from me as well as other plank cooking enthusiasts. You also have an option to offer your favorite recipes in written form as well as video. All posts on the site have a place for you to include your input or reply. Plank Cooking Central is FREE for everyone, no membership is required everything is available to print out and will continue to be easy to navigate. Also included are links to our YouTube, Facebook and Twitter sites.

My wife and daughter are some of the fussiest, plain-food eating people I know. Cooking for them is generally boring, so I grabbed a box of planks, made my own “boring” rub and their response to a planked London Broil was, “Hey, this is pretty good!” I have to work on the vegetables next…Thank you for opening a new door for us!

Thanks Mark, veggies come out great planked. Try corn on the cob. Remove all husks, marinate with olive oil and garlic powder for about and hour and place bare corn on the plank. The corn will carmalize a bit when done. You will taste a wonderful smokey aroma in the corn in the first bite.
